the “Noaspherian” project emerges from a sci-fi retelling of the Noah’s Ark story. Using animals, duality, and the flood as a framework, I photograph taxidermy animals and encase the photographs in frames that mimic flotation devices. I print on these image-objects with medieval manuscript-inspired borders. The border motifs contain fragments of characters from cartoons, fairy tales, and storybooks relating to the subject’s species.
