Amanda E Baker is a Brooklyn-based artist and educator. She received an MFA in Printmaking with an Advanced Certificate in Teaching and Learning from Pratt Institute in 2024 and a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art in 2016. In her work, Baker fabricates hybrid objects that mimic, reconfigure, and recontextualize representations of animals and nature through a speculative lens.

Baker is the recipient of the 2023 Weiss Student Scholarship Award and the 2023 Pratt Graduate Student Engagement Fund. She was a former artist-in-residence at COPE NYC and at the Montana Natural History Center via Open AIR Missoula. Her work has been featured in Hyperallergic and has been exhibited in various group shows. Baker currently teaches at That Creative Space in Beacon and at NYC Public Schools via Marquis Studios.
